Summary of Position As the Market Director, Restaurants, supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you will be responsible for developing the growth strategy and business development of the Restaurant design market and generating new business opportunities as well as maintaining current client relationships. Ideal candidates demonstrate high energy, creativity, and flexibility. They are self-starters who are willing to work at a dynamic pace and can handle multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities Partner with Business Development team and Client Managers to coordinate business development strategies. Create a yearly business plan for the retail design market. Identify and develop relationships with clients, associations and business networks to grow awareness. Attend industry events including tradeshows and networking events. Sell Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, General Contracting and Project Management services across all company sectors. Work directly with BD Directors and Marketing to develop leads, coordinate proposals and presentations in conjunction with the marketing team. Work directly with the Director of Operations/Architecture to maintain existing client relationships and ensure projects are meeting our clients’ needs. Assist with client assignments, tracking and follow-up, and coordinating efforts. Meet with existing vendors and sub-consultants for lead generation. Assess potential partners for pursuits or for clients with relationship leverage. Assist with special projects, internal strategies, and staff development. Encourage and participate in business and community activities promoting company services. The following qualifications will help you succeed in this role: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required. 7+ years business development or marketing experience in an A/E/C environment preferred; specifically, in the Restaurant market Proven experience in a client facing role focused on nurturing existing relationships and cultivating new ones. Work Location We are seeking someone in the continental U.S. You must live near a major airport as you will travel for this role up to 100% of the time; based on the location of active projects, client prospects, conferences, networking events and office visits.
