Pay Range: $55 - $80/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Review dental preauthorization requests
ā¢ Evaluate claims for clinical appropriateness and medical necessity
ā¢ Conduct appeals review and provide written determinations
ā¢ Interpret dental radiographs and documentation
ā¢ Apply clinical guidelines to ensure evidence-based decisions
ā¢ Collaborate with internal teams to support utilization management processes
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
ā¢ DDS or DMD from an accredited institution
ā¢ Active, unrestricted Arizona Dental License
ā¢ Minimum 5+ years of clinical dentistry experience
ā¢ Must reside in Arizona
ā¢ Strong written documentation and analytical skills
ā¢ Active malpractice insurance
ā¢ Pediatric dentistry experience strongly preferred
ā¢ Experience with:- Nitrous oxide, Oral conscious sedation and General anesthesia
ā¢ Prior utilization review, dental claims, or insurance experience
ā¢ Experience in managed care (HMO/PPO environments)
