Managing Actuary - US Pensions

At MetLife, we are looking for a Managing Actuary with a strong mathematical background and understanding of US pensions to join our team. The successful candidate will be an experienced professional, ready to use their expertise to help guide and drive decisions that will create long-term value for the organization.We are seeking an individual who is passionate about their work, has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and is a team player. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of actuarial and financial strategies for US pensions, including pricing, product development, and risk management. To be considered, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field, and at least 8 years of experience in an actuary role, with a focus on US pensions.

Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of actuarial and financial strategies for US pensions
Analyze and assess risk management related to US pensions
Price products related to US pensions
Develop new products related to US pensions
Collaborate with other teams to ensure successful implementation of strategies and products
Provide guidance and direction to team members
Monitor and evaluate market trends to ensure competitive pricing and product offerings
Keep abreast of industry regulations and best practices
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Manage and track projects and timelines
Prepare and present reports and analysis to senior management
