About the role: As a Senior Computational Biologist in External Collaborations, you will be working in a fast-paced and research-driven team to implement creative, state-of-the-art computational approaches that maximize the strategic value of the Immunai platform across industry partnerships. Through this position, you will have the opportunity to work with biologists, immunologists, computational biologists, machine learning specialists, and the business development team to help establish and implement the vision of the Immunai platform to deliver AI-powered improvements in clinical trial success rates and patient outcomes. Location: New York City, NY (must be based in NYC area) What will you do? • Maintain a holistic view of computational research and applications (including machine learning) across industry partnership projects in immuno-oncology and autoimmune diseases. • Partner with individual project teams to ensure that our computational biology efforts deliver on the strategic objectives of Immunai and its partners. • Devise and implement new approaches to push the boundaries of Immunai's capabilities in the context of industry partnerships. • Partner with the Sr. Director of Collaborations, to explain key computational results and business value to senior stakeholders. • Champion Immunai core values. Requirements Required qualifications: • Experience in multi-omic data analysis including bulk and single-cell transcriptomics - PhD with 2+ years postdoctoral or industry experience - a must • Deep understanding in current bioinformatics and computational biology tools, methods, and applications; plus the ability to develop and test new approaches that will move the field forward • Background and hands-on experience with machine learning methodologies and the ability to adapt, utilize and extend internal modeling frameworks • Expertise in distilling multi-faceted analyses into concrete conclusions with effective data visualizations and presentations • Experience leading initiatives and projects demonstrated through first author peer-reviewed publications in relevant subject areas and/or project lead roles in industry positions • Keen interest in biology and immunology with ideally some research experience in immuno-oncology and/or autoimmune diseases • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to represent Immunai to operate effectively on a diverse and collaborative team Desired personal traits: • You want to make an impact on humankind • You prioritize "We" over "I" • You enjoy getting things done and striving for excellence • You collaborate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures • You have a growth mindset • You are candid, authentic, and transparent Compensation: This position offers a salary typically between $145,000 and $175,000.
