Hedge Fund / SPV Due Diligence Specialist (Investment + Operational DD)
We’re looking for an experienced due diligence professional who can analyze SPVs end-to-end and verify underlying pre-IPO exposure (e.g., SpaceX and similar names). This is project-based: we engage when a live opportunity appears. Core requirement: SPV verification You must be able to confirm the SPV actually owns what it claims by reviewing and reconciling real documents, including where applicable: Custodian/prime broker statements, admin/NAV support, trade confirms Purchase/assignment agreements, issuer/transfer-agent evidence, cap table / member register Chain-of-title (who owns what, through which vehicle, with what restrictions) Transfer limits, ROFR/consents, gating/redemption terms, side letters Additional DD scope (as needed) Investment DD: performance (gross/net), strategy, risk, concentration, liquidity, valuation marks Operational DD: controls, cash movement approvals, segregation of duties, service providers, cyber/BCP Compliance (high-level): ADV/status (if applicable), AML/KYC process, prior issues/exams Deliverable A concise DD memo: confirmed facts, risks, open items, deal-breakers, and next steps Ideal background Allocator / fund-of-funds ODD, ODD consulting, Big 4/fund ops, family office, private funds compliance, or secondaries/GP stakes DD.
