ITA is seeking a Junior Software Developer to join the team in a remote capacity in the National Capital Region.
Please note this position is contingent upon successful contract award expected Spring 2025.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking motivated individuals and detail-oriented Junior Software Developers to join our dynamic team in the National Capital Region. As a Junior Software Developer, you will assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions for various government and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in programming, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to collaborate in a team-driven environment.
In this role, you will create, optimize, and manage software baselines to ensure system integrity, performance, and scalability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, database administrators, and DevSecOps professionals, to develop robust and reliable solutions.
Design technical solutions to support a rapid, software development process in projects related to supply chain analysis, production line modeling, and process improvements
Create baseline software and/or database products
Collaborate with senior developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions
Modify and enhance existing software and/or database products
Write and perform unit tests and peer reviews of technical products
Troubleshoot, correct, and test code defects
Participate in Scrum meetings and Agile software development processes
Follow established government standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FISMA, NIST, CMMI, etc.) in software development and security practices
Work within the team's development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to deadlines and project milestones
Assist with maintaining and improving software deployment pipelines
Model the ITA core values of Quality, Integrity, and Respect
Qualifications:
Technical Bachelor's Degree (e.g., Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field) from an accredited 4 year institution
Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript)
Basic understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)
Strong communicator both orally and written
Fully functional with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI)
Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security clearance
