The USCP is seeking highly motivated and experienced law enforcement professionals to join our team as Reemployed Annuitant Police Officers. As a Reemployed Annuitant Police Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing Federal and District of Columbia laws, protecting the U.S. Capitol complex, and providing a safe and secure environment for Congress to fulfill its constitutional and legislative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Enforce Federal and District of Columbia laws and regulations
Protect the U.S. Capitol complex, members of Congress, visitors, and staff from threats of crime and disruption
Preserve law and order and serve as a deterrent to crime and other violations of laws, rules, and regulations
Takes charge of accidents and crime scenes, restricting access to crime scenes; observes, stops, and questions suspicious persons
Prepare reports and testify in court
Perform protective services, safeguard Federally-owned buildings and property, and protect government equipment and property

Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen
Must meet position age requirements (under 60 at the time of appointment)
Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
Must have completed any of the following: FLETC UPTP or MBPTP; FLETA accredited military police training program; or CBP training programs (USBPI or CBPOPT)
Must have 52 weeks of law enforcement experience post-training at the time of application
