Location: Remote (USA)
Duration: Long Term ContractWe are seeking an IT Disaster Recovery Technical Analyst to support our enterprise-level IT Disaster Recovery (DR) program. This remote role will be responsible for consulting, analyzing, and delivering complex DR initiatives across various technology platforms. The ideal candidate will have a balanced background in Disaster Recovery programs and hands-on technical experience across infrastructure, cloud, and backup technologies.Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain IT Disaster Recovery policies, procedures, and technical solutions.
Collaborate with Application Development, Enterprise Architecture, and Information Security teams to ensure system and application recoverability.
Conduct risk management assessments and recommend technology solutions focusing on recoverability and resiliency.
Plan, manage, and support the organization's resumption plans, including alternate site readiness and DR test plans.
Review and enhance Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Lead and improve DR testing capabilities, including test environment design and execution.
Analyze infrastructure capacity using CMDB and other tools to ensure recovery readiness.
Stay current with DR trends and best practices, and advise leadership on emerging tools and technologies.
Promote process improvements that elevate the organization's overall DR readiness and resilience.
RequirementsEducation & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (4 additional years of related experience may be substituted).
7+ years of relevant IT technical and disaster recovery experience required.
Technical Expertise:
Strong experience with IT DR technologies including:
Backup & replication
Server virtualization & recovery
Cloud-based recovery (especially AWS)
Capacity management
Third-party DR services
Hands-on experience designing and executing DR testing and exercises.
Skills:
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Agile mindset and familiarity with Agile methodologies (Preferred).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Additional Qualifications
Strong presentation and documentation skills.
Ability to collaborate and influence across teams and leadership levels.
Regulatory compliance understanding and ability to ensure process adherence.
Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment with high accountability.
