Community Health Network of Connecticut, Inc. (CHNCT) is currently seeking an IS Business Systems Analyst. This role involves acting as a liaison between the Information Systems team and other business areas, supporting business intelligence developers, and managing various system development artifacts.ResponsibilitiesActs as the subject matter expert in business systems and technologies used within the organizationOwns the creation and maintenance of various systems development artifacts including functional specification, technical specifications, test plans, user guides, user stories, and workflow documentsOversees the development, testing, and implementation of business intelligence specificationsAnalyzes business systems and data to investigate incidents and recommend solutionsMaintains advanced level of understanding of business intelligence development tools, methodologies, and techniques to effectively work with customers and developersLeads meetings, guides participants, organizes content, and keeps group on track regarding deliverablesObtains and documents required customer specifications and determine feasibilityGathers, receives and interprets data, analysis, and reports needed for analyzing and supporting business systems and client data needsValidates reports, systems, and software to ensure accuracy and integrity of information, data and functionalityCommunicate system modifications, system implementation, and data analysis results to stakeholdersLeverage technical expertise to thoroughly investigate reported incidents that involve business systems and reporting abnormalities, failures, or defectsSkillsFour years post-secondary schoolingBachelor's degreeBusiness Management, Information Systems, or another related field1 to 5 years related experience in a business information systems background ideally in a healthcare industry settingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsWell-developed communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilitiesStrong organizational skills with the ability to balance competing projects of varying priority to meet company objectives and deadlinesKnowledge of common system development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile and WaterfallTechnical skills in desktop computers and business intelligence tools such as: SQL Server, MS Excel, Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, web-based applications, and similar programsFamiliar with availability and use of business intelligence technologies, programming languages, and database systems/architectureExcellent interpersonal skills to communicate to all levels of CHNCT and external personnelBusiness Analyst, CBAP, and/or PMP certificationBenefitsMedical, dental and vision coverage optionsFlexible spending and health savings accountsGroup term life insuranceA 401(k) plan with company-match and immediate vestingVoluntary accidental injury coverageTuition reimbursement and continuing education opportunitiesA generous paid-leave bank and company holidaysWellness programCompany OverviewIn 1995, a group of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) came together to form Community Health Network of Connecticut, Inc.® (CHNCT), a not-for-profit managed care organization dedicated to improving medical services and health outcomes for Connecticut’s Medicaid-eligible residents.
