Job Summary As a Sr. Applications Developer, you will be responsible for leading the design, building, and maintenance of .NET (ASP and MVC) components, application program interfaces, and rich web user interfaces. You will work closely with our development team to integrate efforts using XML, JSON, and other technologies, and develop professional enterprise-caliber software products that deliver real end-user value and efficiencies for Sonepar associates and customers. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, building, and maintenance of .NET (ASP and MVC) components, application program interfaces, and rich web user interfaces Develop highly scalable components in multiple web applications Integrate efforts using XML, JSON, and other technologies Develop professional enterprise-caliber software products that deliver real end-user value and efficiencies for Sonepar associates and customers Collaborate in the continuous improvement of our development methods, including metric definition, quality processes, and software development practices Work closely with the development team to identify and prioritize project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner Essential Qualifications 5+ years of experience with .NET Framework (ASP.NET MVC), Visual Studio IDS, and Microsoft SQL Server Strong understanding of web application development from UI through Data Access Layer Comprehensive understanding and proven capability designing and developing in C# Strong experience in REST and Web API Working knowledge of relational database technology Proven understanding and proficiency with rich web application UI development Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON, HTML, CSS, and cross-browser development Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design Ability to take an idea from requirement to delivery Strong code refactoring ability BS in Engineering discipline with a focus on Software Development or equivalent work experience Preferred Qualifications Understanding of the distribution industry Experience with agile development methodologies Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and services Experience with DevOps tools and practices Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a highly agile, collaborative, and distributed team environment Strong drive to serve the end user with world-class software Initiative-taker who takes personal responsibility and pride in their work Ability to learn quickly and apply new technologies to solve problems practically Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Sonepar USA, we are committed to the growth and development of our associates.
