Irrigation Technical Services Representative I (Remote - Perth)

Hunter Industries is seeking a Technical Services Representative I to ensure timely and accurate response to product and technical support inquiries for customers, sales and service personnel, and in-house personnel.
Essential Functions:

Responds to incoming customer irrigation questions and e-mails on the Company's technical support phone lines and website, including requests for product performance and specification information.
Assists in troubleshooting product problems, advises product capabilities, and recommends proper replacement parts and repair procedures. Records and categorizes incoming questions by customer type, product type, and region, including follow-up.
Assists the Product Managers in special projects as directed by the Technical Services Supervisor.
Communicates regularly with Product Managers and provides information regarding product failures, technical information, and product quality.
Publishes website support articles for Hunter products.

Education/Training Required and Preferred:

Associate’s degree in Landscape and Irrigation Design, Lighting Design or equivalent education and experience.

Experience Required and Preferred:

2+ years of experience in a customer service environment plus experience in the landscape irrigation, agricultural, landscape lighting, and/or wholesale distribution.

What You Bring?

In-depth knowledge of landscape and irrigation products in the industry. Knowledge of irrigation design and pumping system design.
Strong mechanical and technical skills, including a working understanding of Wi-Fi systems and basic electrical principles.
Excellent writing, listening and customer relations skills.
Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multi-task and work within timelines.
Problem solving skills including problem analysis, planning, and organizing, decisiveness, decision making, and judgment.
Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment.
Proficient computer skills including familiarity with the Internet and Windows programs to perform word processing and spreadsheet and database management.
Ability to travel domestically.
Ability to work overtime and/or weekend work when required.
Excellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to interact with members across the organization.
Irrigation Association certification and water auditor training preferred.
Knowledge of competitor products preferred.
Fluency in a foreign language is preferred.

The salary for this opportunity ranges from AUD 72,000-77,000.
The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
