Job Summary and Qualifications • Performs Interventional & Neuro Radiology exams following protocols and in a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care. • Charges for procedures and supply items upon completion of procedure. • Provides post procedure care to the patient (includes holding pressure as well as cleaning, suturing and bandaging of procedure site), and obtains informed consent. • Effectively assists members of the health care team with specific procedures and treatments; shares knowledge and expertise with others and willingly assists co-workers, fosters teamwork and contributes to team goals. • Reviews quality of radiographs to insure quality standards have been met. Possesses an understanding of and adherence to the Code of Conduct, and demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system. • Executes protocol appropriately on all radiographic equipment • Takes patient history and retrieves any necessary orders or prior images. • Appropriately completes documentation including patient demographics, images and dose data. • Coordinates patient flow and checks daily list to ensure all exams are complete. • Supports ALARA by appropriately alerting physicians of intra-procedure dose thresholds. • Daily upkeep of departmental work areas (cleaning, stocking, etc) What qualifications you will need: • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date • (ARRT-R) Radiography • (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer • Associate Degree Grand Strand Medical Center has provided quality healthcare services since 1978, giving patients access to highly-trained physicians and advanced technology.
