The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company's regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
Your Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Student-Quality Engineering for John Deere Waterloo Works (TCAO) located in Waterloo, IA, you will:
Assist team in identifying issues/opportunities for improvement and proposing resolutions
Gather, review, and analyze information
Produce a variety of correspondence and reports in support of department processes, including monthly reports/dashboards in Excel, Business Objects, Tableau and/or Power BI
Assist with administration of Corrective Action System
Administer and maintain Quality SharePoint and associated Websites
This position is available to students on immigration visas.
What Skills You Need
Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Management of Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Manufacturing Engineering or related field; others may apply
Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited college/university local to Waterloo, IA
Graduation date of May 2025 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly
Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly
Must be able to complete work and assignments remotely
Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, Iowa, on an as needed basis year-round
1 or more years of experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
