Hybrid Teen Coordinator (Full-Time) - Palo Alto YMCA
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Teen Coordinator will assist in implementing all teen programs and initiatives. Specific responsibilities include building relationships with youth and teens; collaborating with community partners, such as local schools and area organizations that share a similar interest in helping teens reach their full potential, to promote teen development initiatives.
SALARY/PAY: $25.00 - $27.00/hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
⢠With the assistance of the Director, this position will direct and oversee, Model United Nations, Model Legislature and Court, and other teen leadership cohorts
⢠Develop and implement innovative approaches to promote and increase teen program participation and retention.
⢠Lead and administer teen programs.
⢠Attend all conferences and meetings
⢠Create positive, lasting memories for all teen program participants, staff and volunteers.
⢠Participates in staff meetings and/or related meetings.
⢠Attend meetings, online webinars, and trainings.
⢠Performs other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Visual and auditory ability to observe and to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation; Ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills; Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Ability to climb, push, and pull; Ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
