WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We’re seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Assistant to drive our recruiting and hiring efforts across multiple team roles. This role will focus primarily on recruiting and onboarding new team members, with additional responsibilities in training, orientation, and supporting payroll, benefits, and leave administration. Ensuring a seamless and positive experience for both candidates and team members is essential.

We’re looking for a goal-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering results efficiently. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn and grow with the company. As an HR Assistant, you will:
• Create, edit, and post job listings on various platforms, aligning each post with company needs to attract top talent.
• Review and shortlist candidates weekly, providing regular updates to the team on recruiting progress.
• Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring process for qualified candidates; collaborate with departmental managers to understand required skills and competencies.
• Conduct or facilitate background checks and verify employee eligibility.
• Implement new hire orientation, onboarding, and employee recognition programs.
• Conduct initial video screenings, gather insights, and compile notes for the hiring team’s review.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with team members, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience.
• Maintain clear and organized documentation of recruiting activities, ensuring adherence to internal policies.
• Prepare and issue offer letters to selected candidates and support them through the onboarding process.

YOU HAVE:
• Passion for talent acquisition, company culture development, and team operations
• Experience with talent acquisition, professional development and hiring
• Great interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills
• Customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion
• The ability to stay highly organized with great attention to detail
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Passion to build a startup with a solid ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment and follow instructions
• An outgoing and friendly disposition

REQUIREMENTS:
• 2+ years of experience in recruiting, HR, or related fields
• Open-minded, a fast learner, enthusiastic, and adaptable personality
• Possess creativity, flexibility, variety, and growth potential
• Attentive listening and capacity to follow directions
• Comfortable with conducting interviews and shortlisting candidates
• Familiarity with online job boards and recruitment platforms
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team

NOTE: This is a 3-month contract with an opportunity to become long-term freelance after successful completion.
