Home Services / Improvement Scoping & Pricing Specialist (Remote)
Do you have a wide range of experience in home services? Looking to apply your knowledge without having to swing a hammer? We have a role that's great for anyone looking to supplement some extra hours, especially retired GC's, project managers, or generalist technicians.
Business is booming and we're looking for thoughtful part-time remote team members who can help triage, scope and price jobs, from small tasks like every day repairs, to mid-size projects. We have field teams to handle the more complex needs where site visits are key, but there's a lot that can be done from afar and that's where you come in.
KEY: we need contributors with consistent availability through the week. It doesn't necessarily need to be every single day and the very same time, but we're looking more for 2 hours per day M-F, rather than just 1-2 days a week.
Responsibilities:
• Review incoming job requests and accurately scope projects based on available information.
• Collaborate with internal team members to gather additional context or ask members clarifying questionsonly when necessary. (We maintain a high bar for when to loop in members, as a concierge service.)
• Scope jobs ranging from small, simple tasks (e.g. replacing an outlet cover or re-caulking a tub) to larger, more complex projects (e.g. re-staining an entire fence or repairing multiple areas of drywall).
• Determine fair market pricing for scoped work and match each job with the best-suited techniciantypically from our in-house team of general contractors, plumbers, carpenters, and generalists.
• Track job outcomes to evaluate pricing accuracy, profitability, and member satisfaction, and help build feedback loops for our growing pricing engine.
Qualifications:
• Strong critical thinking and judgment; able to make calls with limited data.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Prior experience in home services, project scoping, pricing, or operations.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.
