With 40 years of experience, they offer a broad range of manufacturing covering various industries, including medical, automotive, defense, aerospace and semi-conductors. They have revenues of around $ 20m and around 50 employees at this particular site. They are part of a much larger organization and are Private Equity owned.

Job Description

As the General Manager, and reporting directly into the Global Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for steering the strategic and operational initiatives at our Austin, TX facility. You will hold complete accountability for the facility's financial performance, leading a multidisciplinary team to achieve ambitious growth objectives. Your focus will be on driving operational excellence, ensuring safety, maintaining high-quality standards, optimizing on-time delivery, enhancing employee engagement, and delivering superior customer service while maximizing profitability. Main duties and responsibilities include the following:
• Direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Austin, TX location, with full financial oversight and P&L responsibility.
• Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and motivating work environment for all staff members.
• Design and implement both annual and long-term business strategies, ensuring seamless execution to achieve organizational goals.
• Consistently exceed revenue and profitability targets, while positioning the facility for sustained, long-term growth.
• Track and analyze financial performance, making data-driven decisions to correct course and mitigate potential risks.
• Build strong, lasting relationships with key clients, ensuring their satisfaction and anticipating their evolving needs.
• Work closely with the Commercial team to create and execute strategies aimed at new business acquisition and market expansion.
• Supervise all operational areas of the facility, ensuring collaborative synergy with the Sales team and other departments to meet collective objectives.
• Foster a dynamic, high-performing organization designed to meet customer demands and exceed expectations.
• Lead talent acquisition, development, and retention efforts, ensuring a highly skilled workforce that supports the achievement of both revenue and profit goals.
• Monitor market trends and adapt quickly to changing conditions, ensuring the business remains competitive and agile.

The Successful Applicant

In return for a competitive remunerating package, the successful candidate will possess the following:
• Bachelor's degree - essential
• Experience of working with customers across verticals such as medical, aerospace & defense, automotive - essential (non-negotiable)
• Proven experience as a General Manager (or similar role) - essential
• 5+ years of Leadership experience - essential
• Demonstrated success developing and leading a high performing teams
• Extensive knowledge of CNC manufacturing, on-demand manufacturing
• Experience leading and building high-performing, cross-functional teams
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence best practices
• ERP implementation experience

What's on Offer
• Base salary of $ 180,000 to $ 200,000
• Performance related annual bonus (Short Term Incentive) of 25%
