Game Rant's social media team is looking for Comment Moderators to oversee and engage with comments on our Thread Articles and articles on-site. This role will involve a small daily time commitment, and is not a full-time position. Please note that this role does not involve writing articles for the website...
Responsibilities may include:
Moderation:
Review of comments that may include toxic or excessively negative connotations
Ban repeat offenders or commenters who display immediate inappropriate or problematic behavior
Log and report terms and phrases that should be auto-hidden to Page Manager
Advocate and encourage accurate information
Engagement:
React to (like, love, haha, sad, anger) comments that contribute to the ongoing discussion of the topic/post to elevate comments
Respond to comments to uphold engagement while ensuring accuracy
Requirements
Broad knowledge of major Gaming franchises
Good spelling and grammar skills
Familiarity with Game Rant and its social media platforms
Experience in community moderation is a plus
Schedule
Various shifts available
Work 5-days/week (must include weekends)
Morning Coverage or Night Coverage
