About Us:
Send Me a Pro is a fast-growing franchise-based, two-sided marketplace that connects homeowners with vetted local professionals for services such as handyman work, painting, house cleaning, and more. We operate mobile and web apps for both clients and service providers—think of us like the 'Uber' for home services.We are looking for a Fractional CTO to serve as the critical bridge between our business strategy and technical execution. This is a part-time, strategic leadership role — not a hands-on coding role — ideal for someone who enjoys shaping tech direction and ensuring dev teams execute effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the technical liaison between business leaders and the development team.
• Oversee the development process and review sprint plans to ensure alignment with business objectives and deadlines.
• Review and confirm sprint timelines, providing guidance on how long specific tasks should take.
• Offer technical oversight on coding architecture and design decisions.
• Evaluate and suggest AI tools and technologies that can improve development speed and product efficiency.
• Collaborate with our internal and outsourced developers to maintain efficient workflows and quality assurance.
• Provide ongoing strategic tech direction and high-level technical decision-making.
• Help prioritize feature rollouts and assist in defining product roadmap from a tech perspective.
Requirements:
• USA-based candidate only (must be fluent in English and familiar with U.S. business practices).
• Proven experience in a Fractional CTO, VP of Engineering, or Technical Director role.
• Must have experience working with two-sided marketplace platforms (bonus if experience is in home services).
• Strong familiarity with our current tech stack (see below).
• Clear communication skills, ability to work part-time/fractional hours, and respond in a timely manner.
• Open to hourly compensation with potential equity opportunity based on fit and performance.

• Mobile App: React Native
• Web App & Admin Panel: React
• Backend: Node.js (AdonisJS framework)
• Database: PostgreSQL
• Payments: Stripe
• Cloud Hosting: AWS
• CRM Integration: Go High Level
• Architecture: Two-sided marketplace (client app + provider app, like Uber)
Compensation:
• Hourly rate, based on experience• Equity opportunity available for the right long-term strategic partner• Flexible part-time engagement (a few hours a week/month as needed)
