• Verify patient information such as name, medical record number, visit number, admission, and discharge dates through proofreading and electronic spell checking.
• Identify and correct inconsistencies, discrepancies, and inaccuracies without altering the dictation's meaning or style, supporting the Medical Record department’s mission of quality documentation.Qualifications /
Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Transcriptionist preferred.
• At least one year of experience in an acute care setting across various specialties.
• Maintain an accuracy score of 98% or higher in transcription work.
• Proficient in word processing, gained through education or experience.Job Requirements:
• Home office setup.
• High-speed internet connection (no satellite).
• USB foot pedal compatible with DVI USB (Infinity foot pedal preferred).
• Windows 10, Intel i3 or better processor / AMD K4 or better, minimum 8 GB RAM, 250 GB hard drive.Benefits:
