Fitness/Wellness Nonfiction Book Editing
I'm looking for an experienced editor to polish a completed 95-page fitness book: *Simple Military Calisthenics for Women*, a beginner-friendly, no-equipment home workout guide structured as a 30-day program.
ā¢ *Scope of Work:**
- Proofread for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors throughout the full manuscript
- Refine tone and phrasing to sound natural, warm, and conversational ā the book is written for everyday women and should feel human and approachable, not stiff or formulaic
- Light copy editing where sentences feel awkward or overly repetitive
ā¢ *What I'm NOT looking for:**
- Structural rewrites or content changes
- Changes to the workout programs, exercise descriptions, or chapter organization
- Heavy developmental editing
ā¢ *Project Details:**
- Format: PDF (will share Google Doc or Word file for tracked changes)
- Length: ~95 pages / approx. 20,000 words
- Budget: $125 fixed price
- Deadline: Turnaround within 2 days of project start
ā¢ *Ideal Candidate:**
- Experience editing health, fitness, wellness, or self-help books
- Comfortable identifying and softening AI-assisted writing to sound more natural
- Detail-oriented with strong grasp of grammar and style consistency
- Able to meet a tight deadline reliably
