Job Overview: As a Fire & Life Safety Consultant for Kitchen Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals and properties by providing expert advice and consultation on fire and life safety matters. This position also involves outside sales activities to expand our client base, with a competitive advantage due to minimal direct sales competition as our services are mandated by law.
Who are we? Kitchen Guard is a leading kitchen exhaust cleaning company dedicated to safety and cleanliness in commercial industrial kitchens. Founded in 2009, we have built a reputation for excellence in fire safety and are one of the largest providers in California.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the target market.
• Conduct presentations and demonstrations of our fire and safety solutions.
• Develop proposals with safety solutions, cost estimates, and timelines.
• Set and meet sales targets to contribute to organizational growth.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring their safety needs are met with tailored solutions.
• Guide technicians during initial services for new clients.
• Conduct on-site inspections and recommend solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
• Ensure safety and proper installation and maintenance of fire safety equipment.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Participate in ongoing safety training.
• Solve on-site challenges and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in B2B or B2C sales, preferably in fire and life safety or restaurant industry.
• Technical knowledge of fire safety systems (NFPA 96 & NAC 477).
• Flexibility to work in various environments, including rooftops.
• Effective time management skills.
• Attention to detail in inspections and reports.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to convey technical information clearly.
• Team-oriented attitude.
• Proven networking abilities within the industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in commercial facility services preferred.
• Certifications in fire and life safety or sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.
• Nevada C of R preferred, with ability to test and pass the exam.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work at heights and rooftops.
• Capable of lifting 40+ pounds and using ladders.
• Regularly on feet.
