Your Role

The Senior Markets, Actuarial & Financial Analytics team serves as key financial advisors to the General Manager of Senior Markets. Key responsibilities of the team include pricing and forecasting of financials and membership for all senior products. The Financial Analyst, Experienced will report to the Director, Actuarial & Financial Analytics. In this role you will be responsible for reporting on actual membership growth, forecasting membership, performing market studies, communicating competitive intelligence and ensuring compliance with Medicare regulations.

Responsibilities

Your Work

In this role, you will:
• Monitor and report on membership growth for all senior product lines. Partner closely with finance and operations for accurate reporting and month close activities
• Perform membership growth forecasts by analyzing historical growth patterns and attaining input from sales teams
• Compile competitive analysis to inform product, sales and finance strategy
• Assist with activities that check accuracy of revenue received and ensure compliance with Medicare regulations
• Respond to audit requests
• Understand drivers of administrative expenses
• Have the opportunity to learn about the business, partner with cross-functional teams, and communicate results

Qualifications

Your Knowledge and Experience
• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Requires at least 3 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience in healthcare finance preferred

Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $73,590.00 to $102,850.00 for California.

Note: Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.

• On-Site: Work from a business unit-approved office an average of four (4) or more days a week.
