Position Summary:The Global Campus Faculty position in the Department of Resource Operations Professions is focused on exceptional learning experiences that emphasize innovative, high-quality teaching, a deep commitment to student learning and success, and the cultivation of a supportive and caring academic community. Lead Faculty are in 12-month, ranked, career-track (not eligible for tenure) positions with core duties to teach asynchronous undergraduate and graduate courses to adult learners; lead development of programs and courses and supervision mentorship of associate faculty; and service to students and the institution to ensure its continued improvement toward its critical student success goals. UAGC programs are intentionally designed to bridge academic learning and workforce relevance, equipping students with both practical skills and disciplinary expertise that prepare them for meaningful career advancement and lifelong learning.The application window is anticipated to close 06/09/2025.Essential Job Duties:Teaching – 50%Full-Time Faculty members demonstrate a passion for helping students achieve their goals, applying disciplinary and professional knowledge in effective practices in teaching, assessment, and student engagement for online, asynchronous courses.Deliver high-quality, engaging online instruction. This can include dissertation chairing and committee work for doctoral facultyConnect the learning experience to workforce skills and professional advancementFoster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for adult learnersPrioritize student learning, achievement, and timely feedbackMaintain strong communication with students and respond promptly to inquiriesEnsure academic integrity and uphold university policiesCollaborate with academic support teams to enhance student experienceFor Doctoral Faculty:Review and provide feedback on doctoral research projects, including research, design, analyses, writing, and oral presentationsOversee and prepare students for their preliminary and final oral defensesSupport student IRB applications and research alignmentCollaborates with students' doctoral research committees to create unified direction for the studentsLearning Leadership – 40%The UAGC online educational model is built around a "quality at scale" approach, in which a centralized, expertly designed curriculum ensures consistency, rigor, and excellence across all course sections. All faculty teach from a shared course shell, allowing them to focus on delivering high-impact instruction and individualized support.Develops and improve courses and innovative teaching practices in collaboration with instructional designers, assessment specialists, and other expertsDevelops and improve course materials including texts, media, assessment tools, and other innovative instructional modalitiesReview, support, and mentor instructional quality of associate facultyLeads continuous improvement of curriculum and instructional design, with a focus on relevance, rigor, and accessibilityCollaborates with other departments such as student success, student affairs, library, writing center, access and wellness, academic advising, and career services to create, monitor, and improve initiatives for a holistic student support experienceSupports students’ sense of connection to the university in an online environmentSupports program-level assessment and yearly review cycles.Service – 10%Attends and actively participates in department, college, and university meetingsEngages in shared governance activities and committeesParticipates in search and hiring committeesSupports accreditation and continuous improvement effortsMentors and supports faculty and staffCollaborates on university student success and other initiatives Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to create engaging and supportive online learning environments that foster student success and belongingAbility to communicate effectively and compassionately with adult learners from varying backgrounds and academic preparedness levelsAbility to align academic content with workforce needs and industry trends to ensure program relevance and graduate preparednessSkill in using educational technology and learning management systems to deliver high-quality online instruction and feedbackAbility to interpret student success data and use insights to improve teaching practices and curricular designAbility to effectively balance teaching, service, and administrative responsibilities in a complex online learning environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with a capacity to foster student engagement and clarity in a remote learning context. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and balance competing responsibilities within a flexible, evolving work environmentMinimum Qualifications:Earned Master’s degree in a field related to Marketing, Business Operations, Project ManagementFor Doctoral Faculty:Earned doctorate in a related discipline (Business, Economics, Math, Statistics, Human Services, Quantitative Research related field)Qualitative or quantitative research experienceAt least 3 years of graduate-level teaching experienceEvidence of promise or experience demonstrating adequate training, depth of knowledge in a particular specialty, and capacity to undertake high-quality teaching and serviceFamiliarity with best practices in teaching and learning, including curriculum development assessment strategies, especially in virtual environmentsA collaborative and student-centered approach to leadership and instructional support.
