Expert n8n AI-Automation Specialist for Long-Term, Per-Task Projects (OpenAI, Meta API, TikTok) - Contract to Hire
Hello, We’re looking for a highly skilled n8n AI-Automation Specialist for a long-term partnership. We manage a continuous pipeline of advanced automation projects and need a reliable expert who can build, optimize, and maintain sophisticated AI-driven workflows. This is an ongoing, per-task collaboration: For each task, we define the scope, agree on a fixed price, and once delivered successfully, we move to the next one. ⸻ The First Task (Trial Project): Phase 1 – AI-Powered Unified Inbox We want to build the initial version of an AI-driven Unified Inbox capable of intelligently responding to common messages, not just collecting them. The Core Objective: Build a system where AI automatically replies to frequent inquiries (e.g., opening hours, shipping details) and flags complex or sensitive messages for human review. ⸻ Platforms to Integrate (Phase 1) • Meta: Facebook (Comments, DMs) & Instagram (Comments, DMs, Story Replies) • WhatsApp: WhatsApp Business Cloud API • TikTok: Comment integration ⸻ High-Level Workflow (AIFlow) 1. API Webhooks Configuration You will configure all required webhooks for Meta, WhatsApp Cloud, and TikTok. 2. n8n Webhook Listener All inbound messages are captured by an n8n workflow. 3. Airtable Master Log Every message gets logged in a structured Airtable base with initial status "Received". 4. AI Processing Node Each message is sent to an AI model (OpenAI ChatGPT or Google Gemini). 5. AI Prompting – “The Brain” The model must: • Identify intent (Sales, Support, Spam, Common Questions) • Decide whether it can confidently answer using a small embedded knowledge base • Provide a ready-to-send reply if confident • Otherwise return a tag like "HUMAN_REVIEW_URGENT" 6. Decision Logic A branching node decides: • Auto-Reply → AI crafts the answer → sent instantly • Human Review → Only tagged in Airtable for manual follow-up 7. Outbound Auto-Reply Workflow If AI responds: • Send the reply through the correct platform API • Update Airtable with "Replied_By_AI" and store the reply message Human-in-the-Loop (Manual Responses) A second workflow triggers when a human writes a reply in Airtable, sending it through the correct platform API. ⸻ Required Skills • Deep, proven expertise with n8n (complex branching, error handling, modular flows) • Strong experience integrating AI models inside n8n (OpenAI, Gemini, LangChain) • Mastery of APIs/Webhooks • Hands-on experience with: • Meta Graph API • WhatsApp Business Cloud API • TikTok for Business API • Proficiency with Airtable or Google Sheets as a lightweight database/UI • Clear communication, reliability, and attention to detail ⸻ Long-Term Vision This project is only the foundation.
