Key Responsibilities Develop and implement an instructional program within your classroom that aligns with district policies and state mandates, catering to the diverse needs of our students. Demonstrate a high degree of knowledge in content-related pedagogy and stay updated on best practices in teaching and learning. Create a pleasant and stimulating classroom environment that values diversity and promotes individual differences. Plan and carry out engaging classroom activities that focus on basic skills, key concepts, and desirable attitudes and values. Effectively contribute to and manage individual program plans for students with special needs, ensuring their academic and social growth. Adapt curriculum to meet the varying rates, patterns, and needs of all students, including those who extend learning beyond designated outcomes. Utilize available technologies to enhance teaching and learning experiences. Confer with parents and students to understand their needs and encourage progress, fostering a collaborative effort. Maintain accurate records, including student attendance, evaluations, and report cards, and make wise use of these records. Participate in curriculum planning and development to improve the educational program of the school and district. Develop a working relationship with faculty and other personnel, contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture. Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching practices and stay informed about community affairs. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must: Hold acceptable NJ Certification for the assignment. Possess knowledge of assigned area content and content-related pedagogy. Demonstrate strong communication, managerial, and leadership skills. Have the ability to create and maintain a climate of respect and fairness for all students. Show a proven ability to function effectively in a diverse school community. Be able to motivate and assess students academically and socially. Work collaboratively as part of a highly functioning team. Undergo a required criminal background check and provide proof of US citizenship or legal alien status. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience in curriculum development and implementation. Knowledge of differentiated instruction and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles. Familiarity with educational technologies and innovative teaching methods. A proven track record of improving student outcomes and academic achievement.
