Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain labor market information systems using Java, Liferay Portal, and web development technologies. Collaborate with team members to understand customer requirements and implement solutions. Follow coding standards for application development and deployment. Test applications for correct functionality and accessibility. Provide assistance and guidance to staff conducting training in the use of QualityInfo.org and other Research Systems products. Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions. Document code according to standards. Deploy applications and participate in the maintenance of existing systems. What We're Looking For Essential Qualifications Four years of information systems experience in application development and/or web design. OR an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, AND two years of information systems experience. OR a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience with Java, SQL (Oracle, MySQL), and web development (HTML, JavaScript). Demonstrated experience developing portlets with a focus on the end-user. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teammates. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Liferay Portal HTML and JavaScript UI frameworks (jQuery, Bootstrap). Knowledge of Linux and OSGI. Experience with REST APIs and labor market information or economic data sets. Familiarity with Java Portal/Portlet Development and Liferay CMS. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need: Strong technical skills in Java, SQL, and web development. Experience with Liferay Portal and portlet development.
