About the Role We're looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our Remote Data Entry and Cloud Infrastructure team. As a Software Developer, you'll be responsible for developing high-quality software products, contributing to the design and architecture of our systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation. You'll work on a specific project critical to Google's needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our business grow and evolve. Key Responsibilities Develop High-Quality Software Products: Write and test product or system improvement code, ensuring it meets Google's high standards for quality, performance, and reliability. Collaborate with Peers and Stakeholders: Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to determine among various technologies and ensure the best solutions are implemented. Code Review and Feedback: Review code developed by other builders and provide feedback to ensure good practices (e.g., style tips, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and performance). Documentation and Content Creation: Contribute to current documentation or educational content material and adapt content primarily based on product/application updates and consumer feedback. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Triage product or system problems and debug/tune/resolve by reading the sources of problems and the effect on hardware, network, or carrier operations and quality. Minimal Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent realistic experience. Software Development Experience: 3 years of experience with software program development in C++, and with statistics structures/algorithms. Software Product Development: 3 years of experience checking out, maintaining, or launching software program products, and 1 year of experience with software program layout and architecture. Large-Scale Infrastructure Experience: 3 years of experience growing huge-scale infrastructure, distributed structures or networks, or experience with compute technology, garage or hardware structure. Desired Qualifications To stand out as a candidate, you should have: Advanced Degree: A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field. Technical Leadership Experience: 1 year of experience in a technical leadership function. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need: Programming Skills: Proficiency in C++ and experience with other programming languages.
