Position at a Glance: Location: Remote in Colorado, USA Position: Quality Engineer Compensation: $25/Hour Start Date: Immediate openings available Company: Tesla (partnering with Workwarp) Job Summary We're looking for a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in Colorado. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to drive process and product improvements, utilizing QA methodologies to manage and resolve issues. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our electric vehicles, from design to production. Key Responsibilities: Lead cross-functional teams to drive process and product enhancements, utilizing QA methodologies to manage and resolve issues Develop and maintain quality performance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement Lead the Body group for the Quality Association, coordinating and managing complex and constantly changing body system specifications and deviations Perform technical root cause analysis of vehicle systems, including full vehicle, interior, exterior, case, HV/LV, FW, Diag, and thermal Develop and maintain control plans and inspection standards to ensure critical elements are controlled through the assembly/production processes Drive control and corrective actions execution into manufacturing line/plan/provider Lead and work with the review and disposition of discrepant materials identified for control of nonconforming product Foster a culture and attitude of continuous improvement, working within the Tesla team to make it more efficient, safer, and a pleasant work environment Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Power Hardware, Electronic, or comparable relevant experience) Previous material experience desired, ideally in an active role like Failure Analysis/Manufacturing/Quality/Service in consumer electronics or automotive Specific training and demonstrated results in applying quality problem-solving techniques, such as fishbone diagrams, FMEA, process capability analysis, hypothesis testing, DoE, SPC, etc. Excellent problem-solving and Failure Analysis skills, with strong attention to detail and analytical thinking Ability to use tools and business system applications to manage, integrate, and interpret data Programming languages and tools: SQL, Python, Minitab, JMP, or comparable are a strong plus Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the electric vehicle or automotive industry Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control systems Experience with data analysis and interpretation Certifications in quality engineering or a related field What We Offer Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary: $25/Hour Opportunities for career growth and professional development Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement savings plan and employee stock purchase plan Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options Access to cutting-edge technology and innovative products Career Growth Opportunities: Professional development and training programs Mentorship and coaching opportunities Cross-functional team collaboration and networking Opportunities for advancement and leadership roles Why Join Our Team?
