Experienced Pouching Assistant for 12-Hour Night Shift Operations - Manufacturing and Packaging Expertise Required

Job Overview We are currently seeking a Pouching Assistant to work on our 12-hour night shift, Monday through Thursday, with a shift differential of $2/hr. Although the current schedule is 7pm-7am, please note that the hours will be changing to a 2-2-3 schedule (2 on, 2 off, 3 on) in the near future. As a Pouching Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our production processes, working closely with our Shift Supervisor and other team members to drive success. Key Responsibilities Review orders to ensure accurate production, verifying sealers are on and in the closed position, and maintaining rolls of strip and correct placement. Complete accurate recording of beginning count and all other pertinent information, verifying order accuracy and working with Set-Up associates to make adjustments as needed. Make minor adjustments to minimize downtime, including moving the eye, adjusting wicket pins and holes, and adjusting edge guides to correct the lip and print. Conduct frequent inspections of bags to ensure correctness, performing and recording required inspections on Q.C. sheets for orders with designated intervals. Prepare and label boxes with necessary information, sealing them as prescribed by the order and placing them on the conveyor. Maintain a clean and organized work area, relaying pertinent information during shift changeovers and assisting with physical inventory as required by the Team Leader. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will require: The ability to read, write, and measure to within 1/16" and 1 mm, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, as well as reaching with hands and arms. Frequent standing, talking, and hearing, with occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching or crawling. The ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment, with knowledge of production processes and quality control measures. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors. Basic computer skills and familiarity with software applications, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
