Key Responsibilities and Expectations Daily engagement with customers to build relationships, process transactions, assess needs, and recommend products and services to create an exceptional customer experience Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of our products and services to fulfill customer needs, open new accounts, perform maintenance, meet cross-sell goals, and solve problems daily Demonstrate a commitment to daily personal growth through active learning, adapting to new procedures and systems, and ensuring operational tasks are followed and completed daily Execute customer requests with speed and accuracy, maintain cash levels and outages within established guidelines, and communicate effectively internally and externally Adhere to regulations, follow policies and procedures, and ensure the safety and soundness of customers and the bank Understand and encourage the use of technology in everyday banking interactions, including teaching customers how to use technology, mobile banking, P2P, online banking, and other digital channels Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need: 2-3 years of previous teller experience or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner Detail-oriented with the ability to work under deadlines with frequent interruptions, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities High School diploma or equivalent required, with a degree in a related field (e.g., business, finance, or economics) preferred Above-average knowledge of technology and a willingness to adapt to new software technologies, systems, and processes Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think critically, and make sound decisions Physical Requirements The physical demands of this role include: Eye strain due to the constant use of computer screens, reading of reports, and other visual tasks Ability to concentrate on the matter at hand, under sometimes distracting work conditions Lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs, as required Ability to read, hear, write, and communicate professionally both in person and via telephone Some travel may be required to attend meetings, training, and other business-related events Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Civista Bank, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
