Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative II at arenaflex, you will be responsible for assisting in the resolution of complex problems associated with billing, permits, and business license processing. You will perform customer intake and triage, research, and processing of customer refunds, and provide exceptional customer service to our clients. This part-time role requires an average commitment of 16 hours per week and may be eligible for flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work with some days working remotely and some days working in the office.
Key Responsibilities
Research, analyze, and resolve complicated permit applications and development projects
Compose letters of explanation on complicated applications issues, including spreadsheets, detailing each transaction on the application for the entire history of service
Interpret State Statutes, City Charter, City Ordinances, and arenaflex billing, permitting, and licensing policies for customers
Assist in responding to customer inquiries via telephone, in person, and/or in writing
Assist in preparing and conducting training for subordinate staff in all areas, including computer functions
Assist in maintaining policy and procedures
Research, analyze, and resolve complicated billing problems involving Rental license fees, Fire permit fees, assessments, etc.
Prepare documentation and reports regarding arenaflex actions related to assigned work area
Write letters of explanation on complicated customer situations, including spreadsheets, detailing the entire history of service to establish an 'official' record
Under supervision, act as a coordinator for specific projects or programs
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two years of related experience (Two years as a Customer Service Representative I in arenaflex or the equivalent)
Thorough knowledge of customer service issues in the area assigned
Knowledge of payment processing and check-in related to the area where assigned
Good knowledge of office methods, procedures, and equipment
Good working knowledge of computers and various programs/systems used in the area assigned
Good knowledge of State laws and arenaflex Ordinances governing billing of utilities and water disconnection, other arenaflex billing, treasury accounts receivable processing, and permits and licenses provided by arenaflex
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a similar industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
