Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled Associate Department Lead to join our Front-end team. Key Responsibilities Encourage accountability among colleagues, holding each other to high ethical standards and fostering trust through transparent and ethical behavior. Promote a culture of customer satisfaction and appreciation by making customers feel welcome and respected through providing relevant and accurate information about various products. Become well-acquainted with the merchandise sold throughout the store and efficaciously interact with customers by responding to their product-related inquiries and offering pertinent recommendations. Offer assistance in monitoring and regulating the department's supply outlays. Help maintain an effective system for managing cash control, sales records, and keeping track of cash items in the store. Manage the scheduling of Front-end associates to enable maximum efficiency and uninterrupted service in the department. Provide guidance to store management during profit and loss reviews to ensure accurate and comprehensive analysis of financial data and provide actionable insights that will drive financial success. Work closely with store management to develop and execute budgets and labor schedules, contributing to the success of the business. Support in creating and implementing action plans that will facilitate the accomplishment of the department's goals. Foster an environment of communication and collaboration among front-end associates. Approach problems as opportunities for growth and learning and embrace change with enthusiasm. Remain informed about present, upcoming, seasonal, and elite advertising. Always follow the food safety protocol and guidelines to ensure that the food products are safe for consumption. Make sure that the temperature in cases and coolers is regulated as required and maintain temperature records for consistency. Uphold safety standards by following safety protocols and promptly report any unsafe conditions to store management. Take a proactive approach to equipment maintenance by conducting regular preventive checks and promptly informing the designated department or store manager of any repairs needed. As soon as a customer or employee has an accident, let management know immediately. Report any safety risks or illegal activities, including theft, fraud, or robbery, to prevent any potential harm. Abide by all local, state, and federal laws, and follow company guidelines, to ensure a seamless business operation. Essential Qualifications The resilience to withstand the pressures of challenging situations. Effective communication skills. Basic math proficiency, including the ability to count, add, and subtract. Prioritize customer satisfaction and retention. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Management experience. Language exchange skills or experience working with diverse groups.
