As an Outpatient Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating psychiatric patients using evidence-based care. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including primary care providers, specialists, social workers, and therapists, to provide comprehensive care to your patients. With flexible scheduling options, including 4 tens or 4.5 days, and telemedicine opportunities, you will have the freedom to balance your work and personal life. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric patients using evidence-based care Prescribe medications and psychotherapeutic treatments for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders Conduct outpatient appointments with 60-minute new and 30-minute follow-up schedules Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, social workers, and therapists to provide comprehensive care Utilize Epic electronic medical record system with dedicated behavioral health templates Participate in telemedicine opportunities to expand your reach and provide care to a broader patient base Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Medical degree (MD or DO) Current unrestricted Texas medical licensure Board certification within 3 years of experience Valid prescriptive license required Experience in psychiatry, with specific years of experience varying based on individual qualifications Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Board Certification in Psychiatry Experience in outpatient practice with a focus on patient-centered care Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team Skill and Competency Requirements To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric patients using evidence-based care Proficiency in prescribing medications and psychotherapeutic treatments for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team Experience in outpatient practice with a focus on patient-centered care Career Growth and Development Opportunities At Kelsey Seybold Clinic, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our team members.
