As a Mortgage Origination Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service related to FHA mortgage policies and procedures, utilizing your background in mortgage origination to assist clients effectively.

About the Role
This exciting opportunity involves working with the FHA Resource Center, where you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, answering calls and emails regarding FHA guidelines and procedures, and utilizing your mortgage industry knowledge to find answers in a knowledge database for client requests. The position offers opportunities for telework after training based on performance and customer approval, allowing you to enjoy a better work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service by answering calls and emails regarding FHA guidelines and procedures, ensuring that clients receive accurate and timely information.
Utilize mortgage industry knowledge to find answers in a knowledge database for client requests, demonstrating your expertise in FHA mortgage policies and procedures.
Follow standard operating procedures for various topics, systems, and contact channels, ensuring that all interactions are handled efficiently and effectively.
Document all contacts in a database accurately, maintaining detailed records of client interactions and ensuring that all information is up-to-date.
Stay updated on FHA mortgage processes and procedures, participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your knowledge and skills.


Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

High School diploma or GED certificate, demonstrating your commitment to education and personal development.
Minimum of 2 years of mortgage origination experience (e.g., loan originator, loan processor, junior underwriter, loan officer), providing a strong foundation in mortgage industry knowledge and practices.
Minimum of 1 year of contact center or telephone customer service experience, demonstrating your ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security clearance, including a credit check and background investigation, ensuring that you meet the highest standards of integrity and trustworthiness.


Nice-to-Haves
While not essential, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable:

Bilingual (Spanish & English), verbal and written, allowing you to communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
Strong FHA knowledge/background, demonstrating your expertise in FHA mortgage policies and procedures.
Contact center experience (Omnichannel), providing a strong foundation in customer service and contact center operations.
