Key Responsibilities Instruct classes as assigned, including teaching in classrooms, labs, clinical, and online settings Prepare for classes by organizing and becoming familiar with student material, preparing lesson plans, and course material as required Objectively assess students for academic performance and provide regular and constructive feedback Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and set the example for professionalism and conduct Proactively inform Program Director of any student attendance, academic, or behavioral concerns for retention management Ensure compliance with the published attendance policy, including recording and posting daily attendance Facilitate tutoring and makeup work as needed, ensuring and monitoring student participation Refer students to the Program Director and/or Academic Dean if additional advising is necessary Essential Qualifications Possess 3 years of experience within the last 7 years as a licensed massage therapist Meet the requirements of the state Massage Board Strong knowledge of massage therapy principles, techniques, and practices Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teaching skills Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans, and to adapt to changing circumstances Preferred Qualifications Experience in teaching or mentoring students in a massage therapy program Familiarity with instructional technology and learning management systems Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends and best practices Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Concorde Career Colleges, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our instructors.
