We are now seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in a remote work opportunity, working night shifts from 10:30pm to 7am. **About the Role** As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing lean and continuous improvement actions. Your expertise will help us maintain our high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. **Key Responsibilities** * Perform routine maintenance tasks, including PMs, without supervision * Troubleshoot equipment issues, using your knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems * Implement lean and continuous improvement actions to optimize processes and reduce waste * Communicate effectively with upper management and team members to ensure seamless operations * Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to GMP and housekeeping standards * Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address potential safety hazards * Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge **Essential Qualifications** * 2+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field * Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems * Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, hard copy PLC programs * Proficiency with measuring tools and hand tools * Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other software applications * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a similar role * Knowledge of lean and continuous improvement principles * Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout and personal protective equipment * Certification in a relevant trade or technical field (e.g., electrical, mechanical, HVAC) * Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software **Skills and Competencies** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality * Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities * Strong teamwork and collaboration skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At Silgan, we believe in investing in our employees' growth and development.
