Position Overview
The People Assistant role is a critical component of our Human Resources team, responsible for assisting and supporting the strategic execution of People programs for our North America business and the People division. This position will provide essential support for areas such as Digital & Content and Marketing & Innovation, working closely with internal and external partners to foster productive cross-functional relationships. As a key member of our team, you will be expected to demonstrate teamwork, process management, relationship-building, and effective communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
The People Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:

Providing general support to the People Lead, including PowerPoint and Excel document management, project management support for People initiatives, and administrative support for the People team
Managing Workday and system processing, with a focus on functional responsibilities, and providing regular reporting and data analysis
Supporting the FMLA/LOA process, Onboarding and Exit processes, and handling general inquiries and requests from business partners
Assisting the People Lead in ad hoc projects as needed, and providing support during talent talks and reviews, performance management, and salary planning processes
Partnering with Talent Acquisition during the recruitment process, attending recruitment calls, and providing updates to the P&D Lead
Managing new hire logistics and onboarding, tracking temporary employee assignments, and ensuring freelance assignments are tracked and in compliance with guidelines
Maintaining and updating organizational charts in Workday and Microsoft Visio
Managing employee communication, supporting North America-specific communication initiatives, and engaging the business in Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and community programs
Providing support on special projects led by the People Lead, including process and organization design projects, change management support, and communication


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:

A Bachelor's Degree with a Human Resources concentration preferred
Experience working in Human Resources, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices
Advanced computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint, and familiarity with HRIS systems, with knowledge of Workday preferred
Well-developed written and verbal presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work
Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate with others as part of a team


Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

Previous experience working in a similar role, with a strong understanding of HR systems and processes
Knowledge of employment law and regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context
Experience with project management, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute projects to meet deadlines and achieve objectives
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop solutions to complex problems
