Job Summary
The Full Stack Logistics Coordinator – Remote Freight Unloading and Warehouse Operations is a critical role that requires a unique blend of technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and processing cargo within our facility, ensuring that freight is handled efficiently, accurately sorted, and loaded and unloaded with attention to detail. Your work will contribute to the seamless flow of goods and support the success of our logistics operations.

Responsibilities

Freight Handling and Processing: Verify documentation matches freight description (e.g., type, weight, hazardous materials), using current electronic or manual systems.
Freight Security: Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g., pallets, straps, rope).
Damage Recovery and Reporting: Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary and verify and complete required documentation and reports.
Customer Support: Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
Hostling and Yard Operations: Perform hostling duties if required and comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
Equipment Operation: Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including but not limited to: forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required to support the success of our logistics operations.


Qualifications
We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for logistics. To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Age Restriction: Must be at least 18 years old.
Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, freight handling, or fork lift operations is highly desirable.
Physical Abilities: Must be able to lift, carry, and move manual loads of different weights, as well as handle dock plates weighing approximately 100 pounds and unlock trailer doors requiring approximately 75 pounds of lift force, sometimes several times a day or more.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to interact with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Must be able to analyze problems, identify solutions, and implement effective solutions.
Teamwork and Adaptability: Must be able to work independently and/or as part of a team, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.


Working Conditions
The dock environment presents workers with unpredictable weather patterns, presence of hazardous exhaust gases, dust, fumes, and excessive noise, leading to discomfort. Operational needs may lead to alterations in working hours. Continual correspondence with representatives from the service center; fast-paced, deadline-constrained.
