As a CDM, you'll utilize your analytical and thought leadership skills to execute category strategies in alignment with customer priorities. This role involves analyzing data, identifying opportunities, and making recommendations that drive category and customer growth. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis and Insights : Manage data sources to monitor the field execution of vendor programs & assortments, and analyze data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions. Communication and Collaboration : Communicate complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels, and collaborate with external retail customers, key suppliers, and internal teams to deliver insights and recommendations. Category Performance Management : Track category performance, including sales, profits, margins, and market share, and develop, communicate, execute, and monitor specific performance metrics and goals relevant to each business as part of regular, scheduled business reviews. Supplier Performance Evaluation : Evaluate and make recommendations on supplier performance to enhance the company's inventory & fill rate objectives. Customer and Consumer Insights : Understand and apply customer, consumer, and industry insights using market research data to deliver category growth. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: Bachelor's Degree : A degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or analytics. Experience : Experience within the CPG sector, preferably in the adult beverage industry, and experience working with Costco or similar retail customers. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative analysis skills. Category Management Principles : Expertise in category management principles, syndicated data, and shopper/consumer insights (Numerator/Spectra, etc.). Leadership and Decision-Making Skills : Assertive leadership and decision-making skills with an aptitude for understanding changing market dynamics and resolving complex problems. Technical Skills : Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, and experience working with Syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI), Internal Shipment Data, and Household Panel. Preferred Qualifications We'd love to see: Advanced Analytics Experience : Experience with advanced analytics tools and techniques, such as data modeling and predictive analytics. Industry Certifications : Industry certifications, such as Certified Category Manager (CCM) or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP).
