This group combines deep strategic, operational, and problem-solving capabilities with a practical experience of getting things done and driving change across a global organization. **Job Summary** As a Business Data Scientist at the Impact Measurement group, you will be tasked with supporting YouTube in making better decisions. Specifically, your role will be to communicate data's voice and assist decision-makers in being data-driven. You will translate ambiguous questions into business questions, design research to answer those questions, and communicate findings to non-technical audiences while being clear about uncertainty and the assumptions used in your analysis. **Key Responsibilities** * Design and lead informal research with a clear goal of answering business questions * Present and communicate actionable insights and recommendations to executives, business leaders, and cross-functional partners * Serve as a peer-reviewer and representative for causal research designed by other teams * Stay updated with advances in the causal inference literature and develop new techniques when appropriate * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and inform strategic priorities through data analysis and insights **Minimum Qualifications** * Master's diploma in Computer Science, Mathematics, Applied Data, Machine Learning, or equivalent relevant experience * Experience articulating business and product questions, and extracting data from datasets using SQL and statistical tools (e.g., R, SAS, Stata, MATLAB, etc.) * Internship or experience with data analysis **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with Bayesian hierarchical models, Bayesian Additive Regression Trees (BART), Bayesian Causal Forest (BCF), Gaussian Processes, and Synthetic Control techniques * Experience designing and analyzing randomized controlled trials * Experience designing and analyzing causal research using observational data * Experience with statistical data analysis including linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, and sampling techniques **Essential Skills and Competencies** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and methodologies * Strong understanding of data analysis and statistical concepts * Experience with data visualization tools and techniques **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** arenaflex is committed to providing opportunities for career growth and development.
