Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Helper to assist in the preparation and serving of food, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and provide excellent customer service to our students and staff. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our food service managers and staff to ensure the smooth operation of our school cafeterias. Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and serving of food, including food handling, storage, and presentation.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including equipment, serving areas, and food storage areas.
Assist with food preparation, including cooking, baking, and food assembly.
Operate kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, ovens, and refrigerators.
Provide excellent customer service to students and staff, including serving food, answering questions, and resolving issues.
Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and other dining area equipment.
Perform related duties as required, including sweeping and mopping floors, and restocking supplies.


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
1-2 years of experience in food service, preferably in a school or institutional setting.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly in a busy kitchen environment.
Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.


Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess the following preferred qualifications:

Food safety certification or willingness to obtain.
Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and make change.
Knowledge of food allergies and dietary restrictions.
