Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Financial Accounting Analyst and Tax Specialist to join our team. As a Financial Accounting Analyst and Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for leading a unique business transformation and business migration project from multiple locations to a centralized work environment and for performing day-to-day accounting and reporting functions. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality results and providing exceptional service to our business units.

Key Responsibilities

Daily accounting and reporting services for real estate businesses
Preparation of management reporting process for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing
Preparation of journal entries and short balance accounts
Comparison of contracts under the appropriate accounting treatment under ASC 842 and/or IFRS 16
Preparation of ASC 842 amortization schedule for loans
Researching and answering business unit questions
Technical research and brainstorming to find ways to solve problems
Providing analytical support to the finance team for annual and quarterly AOP forecasting processes
Analysis and preparation of monthly and quarterly P&L and balance sheet variance analysis
SOX, government services, and tax compliance
Managing requests from internal and external auditors
Preparation of reports related to 10K/10Q and annual earnings
Ad hoc project work and reporting for business department requests


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Experience in public accounting
SAP experience
PCA
A 4-year degree, Bachelor of Science in Accounting


Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

Master of Science in Accounting
Experience in financial planning and analysis
Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
Experience with financial reporting and compliance
