Job Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Federal Employee Program Service Representative to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Service Representative, you will be at the heart of the consumer experience, working in a structured and supportive call center environment to provide exceptional service to our members. You will be enrolled in a phased new hire training program to teach you everything you need to know about the health insurance industry, and we will help you develop the skills and knowledge for a successful career. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service to our members, responding to their inquiries and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner Work in a fast-paced service center environment, navigating multiple systems simultaneously and utilizing technology to resolve member issues Develop a deep understanding of our products and services, as well as the health insurance industry, to provide accurate and informative responses to member inquiries Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve complex member issues and provide seamless service Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required One year of experience frequently communicating with customers by phone, email, and/or in person Technology savvy with strong working knowledge of computer software applications and operating systems Ability to learn quickly and navigate through multiple systems simultaneously Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Experience in a fast-paced contact center environment Proficient in keyboarding and ability to type Previous experience in the health insurance industry or a related field Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with members and internal stakeholders Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing competing deadlines Emotional intelligence and empathy, with the ability to understand and respond to member needs in a compassionate and professional manner Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment Career Growth Opportunities At Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, we are committed to investing in the development and growth of our employees.
