About the Role The District Leader, RX is a pivotal position that oversees the clinical and business performance of up to 18 retail pharmacies, with an average team headcount of 200 reports. As a licensed Pharmacist and inspiring coach, you'll be responsible for building and developing a team of Pharmacy Managers who deliver unparalleled care and patient connection. You'll partner with your team to drive business success, launch new products and services, and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory guidelines. Key Responsibilities People Leadership & Development Cultivate the market's Pharmacist talent pipeline, including oversight and development of interns, Float Pharmacists, Staff Pharmacists, and Pharmacy Managers Manage District succession plans and promote District-level staffing of pharmacies Oversee colleague training programs, staffing, scheduling, and timely payment of market Pharmacists Create a culture of recognition, empowerment, development, and inclusion that attracts and retains pharmacy talent Business / Financial Planning Develop and execute business plans and strategies to deliver on business performance measures Review business reports to derive insights about District pharmacy performance and inform action plans Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and business trends to proactively plan for risk and capitalize on opportunities Operations Set, communicate, and execute on market goals Engage pharmacy teams to deliver against new and existing programs and services with excellence Triage and address emergent issues in the market, ensuring compliance with Company policies and relevant laws Portfolio Growth Provide market-specific input to development of local acquisition and real estate strategy Implement local real estate strategy and provide acquisition support Identify file buy and acquisition leads, cultivating relationships with competitors and ensuring retention of file buy assets Essential Qualifications Active Pharmacist license in the state where the district is located 5+ years as a practicing Pharmacist, ideally within a retail setting Completion of our LEARNRx program within 120 days of hire Bachelors of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy Preferred Qualifications PharmD preferred 3+ years of experience as a multi-unit manager 1+ year of experience in CVS Retail store or field role(s) Internal candidates who have completed the EL program curriculum up through the EL Summit Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and develop your team. You'll also require excellent business acumen, with a deep understanding of the retail pharmacy landscape and the ability to drive business growth. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you'll be working closely with Pharmacy Managers, colleagues, and customers.
