We can do that with a truly diverse and inclusive workforce. About the Role We're looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Supervisor - Catering Operations and Logistics. In this role, you will provide oversight and direction to the catering vendor at an assigned location to ensure a safe, healthy operation. Through leadership and collaboration, you will work with the achievement of operational performance targets and drive improvements to internal and external customer metrics. This is an airport-based job, and the successful candidate will become a key part of the cross-functional operations team and develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Inflight Services, Airport Operations, Menu Planning, and Sanitation. Key Responsibilities Provide direct oversight of the daily operation and lead reviews to ensure integrity of catering partner inventory management process and reporting. Lead spot checks assessing inventory levels of kitchen equipment, food, and drinks. Provide insight over key cost drivers or unusual cost drivers (e.g., equipment shortage, excessive oversight) as needed. Coordinate implementation of new menu concepts and service enhancements. Offer local support for initiatives like technology improvements, changes to operational performance metrics, process compliance, etc. Collaborate with internal teams to support change management and communication plans for initiatives; offer local support and monitor adoption and progress of new initiatives. Ensure strong communication and proactive training with airport stakeholders, including Inflight, SOC, Customer support, Incline Management, and the Business Office. Participate in key airport meetings to stay connected with stakeholders and address operational challenges. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Business, or related field) or 4 years of relevant work experience. 2+ years of experience in a Professional, Operations, Consulting, or Engineering role. Project management experience. Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build relationships and engage with leaders and frontline employees from diverse cultures and working divisions. Effective business writing and speaking skills and confidence engaging with all levels of management. Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills. Self-starter with the ability to both execute independently and effectively collaborate in a team environment. Ability to work during non-standard hours and peak periods when required to support a global 24/7/365 operation, and to work in controlled and uncontrolled operational environments. Able to work full-time at an airport-based location. While required, able to be available and/or work beyond regular business hours to support the operation. 2+ years of experience in a salaried (non-hourly) Investigator, Operations, Consulting, or Engineering role. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications To stand out from the crowd, you will need: A Bachelor's or postgraduate degree. 2+ years of Industrial Engineering work experience. 2+ years of airline catering, airport operations, manufacturing, or other operations salaried (non-hourly) experience. HACCP, PCQI, or comparable food safety certifications. Familiarity with more than one language. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits The compensation for this position is $60,000 to $85,000, dependent upon work-related, non-discriminatory factors like experience, education, and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.
