Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customs Trade Coordinator to join our team. As a Customs Trade Coordinator at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our customs clearance processes, providing impeccable client service, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. This is a full-time position based in New York, USA, offering a competitive salary range of $20-30 per hour and the opportunity to work with a global industry leader. Key Responsibilities Deliver flawless client service, addressing queries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Accurately prepare and process customs clearance documentation, utilizing databases, SOPs, duty books, the web, or customs resources. Perform data entry and processing of various import-related documents for submission to US Customs, including handling all Participating Government Agencies (PGAs). Maintain and update all shipment documentation to ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements. Comply with all international importing and exporting regulations, staying abreast of changes and updates. Collaborate closely with internal staff, departments, other blithequark operations, and clients to deliver a high level of service. Process company financier shipments and may handle remote filings. Ensure all service and organizational policies are adhered to, contributing to a culture of compliance and excellence. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A High School Certificate or GED as a minimum educational requirement. No prior industry experience is necessary, but a minimum of six months of work experience is preferred. Previous data entry or console experience is required, demonstrating your ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment such as telephones, faxes, scanners, and printers. Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff, and management at all levels. Strong organizational abilities, with a proven capacity to handle high volumes of work, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a team player who contributes to the overall success of the organization. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable: A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, which could include logistics, international trade, business, or a related discipline.
