Key Responsibilities As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including: Handling incoming and outgoing calls with members, caregivers, and medical professionals to address their needs and concerns Utilizing multiple computer applications to access and enter data in member accounts, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and adhering to ethical standards Creating new member accounts and reviewing/updating demographic and personal health information Verifying insurance information and processing documentation, such as Advanced Beneficiary Notifications and Certificates of Medical Necessity Communicating professionally with members, caregivers, and medical professionals to provide updates on account statuses and resolve issues Documenting all interactions in patient medical records and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records Collaborating with Team Support and Team Leads as needed to resolve complex issues and improve processes Building proficiency and knowledge of all product lines serviced by blithequark Submitting reports and productivity tracking to leaders as requested Adhering to all company policies, including building entry, compliance, and system security policies Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Be at least 18 years of age Have a private work area, high-speed internet, and a computer (laptop or desktop) with a second monitor, microphone, and camera Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and calmly by phone Be able to effectively use computer systems and maintain accurate records Preferred qualifications include: 2+ years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting Previous experience with HIPAA compliance and electronic health records Strong knowledge of insurance verification processes and medical terminology Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with members, caregivers, and medical professionals Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and improve processes Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
