Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and talented Customer Service Representative to provide technical support and assistance to the general public in navigating the planning and development process related to building permits. Key Responsibilities

Provide experienced technical work and customer service to the general public, assisting with the planning and development process related to building permits
Respond to customer inquiries, resolve complex issues, and provide timely and effective solutions
Assist customers in completing the planning and development process, ensuring that all necessary documentation and requirements are met
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that customer needs are met and that our services are delivered efficiently and effectively
Stay up-to-date with changes in policies, procedures, and regulations, and apply this knowledge to provide accurate and informed customer service
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, and to stay current with industry trends and best practices


Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent, plus three years of direct customer service experience
Successful completion of all classes for any one phase of the arenaflex Employee Development Program, with a passing score of 70% or higher on the phase examination within twelve months of employment
Alternatively, one year of experience as a Customer Service Representative I at arenaflex, plus successful completion of all classes for any one phase of the Employee Development Program, with a passing score of 70% or higher on the phase examination, and a current performance evaluation score of 4.0 or higher, with no performance evaluation factors with a rating of 1 or 2
Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis
Experience in a construction environment, building department, or permitting and development is preferred
Successful completion of college coursework in a construction field is preferred


Special Requirements
In addition to the above requirements, you will need to:

Possess, or obtain within six months of employment, an active Florida Notary Public certification, and maintain this certification during the term of employment
Be available to perform emergency duties as directed in the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area


Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this role include:

Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 20 pounds
Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, with the ability to stand for 1-3 hours, walk for 1-3 hours, and sit for 3-5 hours in an eight-hour day
Repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, pulling, and pushing
Reaching, balancing, bending, and kneeling
Good speech, color perception, distant vision, hearing, and near vision, with the ability to use both eyes


Working Conditions
This role will involve:

Working alone and closely with others
Working inside, with minimal exposure to external environmental conditions
