Job Overview and Key Responsibilities
As a Flight Operations intern, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with experienced professionals in areas such as Line Operations or the Chief Pilot Office. Your responsibilities will include assisting in achieving divisional goals, contributing to team projects, and presenting findings to Flight Operations Leadership. You will also have the chance to explore other departments, including Flight Safety, Operations Customer Center, Technical Operations, In-Flight Service, and Airport Customer Service, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the aviation industry.

Assist in achieving divisional goals and contributing to the overall success of Delta Air Lines
Work as part of a team to complete a team assignment and present findings to Flight Operations Leadership
Learn about other departments and gain a comprehensive understanding of the aviation industry
Develop skills in data collection and analysis, problem-solving, and communication
Work onsite at Delta's World Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and participate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment


What You Need to Succeed
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:

Be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with an aviation management discipline
Be able to commit to the duration of the internship timeline: May 12th, 2025, through August 1st, 2025
Be able to work onsite in the Atlanta, GA office
Have a competitive GPA and be in good academic standing with your university
Have aspirations of working in the field of Aviation Management
Demonstrate competency in skills such as data collection and analysis, problem-solving, and communication
Have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word, Excel, Forms PowerPoint, and Smartsheet
Possess excellent communication skills, be able to process complicated issues quickly, and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
Demonstrate a commitment to safety and security, and prioritize privacy when handling personal data
Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles
Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States
